Team GB take on Sevens at Rio

With the Olympics only a blink away, we’re crazy excited that Sevens Rugby will be included on the program. And with the England Rugby team doing so well, we have our fingers crossed that the Olympic team can continue the trend and bring home a few gold medals.

Sevens Rugby is a quick, fast-paced, highly intense version of rugby union. With only 14 minutes in a game and seven players on each team – anything can happen!

The world will be coming together to celebrate the game in Rio and some of Rugby’s greatest will be playing. Sonny Bill Williams (New Zealand), Juan Imhoff (Argentina), Juan de Jongh (South Africa) and Leone Nakarawa (Fiji) are just a few of stars attending.

But what we want to know is who will be playing for Team GB?

THE WOMEN

Emily Scarratt will captain the women’s squad. The team features names from England’s 2014 Women’s Rugby World Cup winning side and the squad who have competed in the World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series last season.
