Series ends 4-1 after pakistan win at cardiff
Despite their best intentions, England didn’t manage a whitewash in the ODI series as Pakistan knocked off the 303 runs needed for victory. England posted 302–9, thanks to a brilliant 87 from Jason Roy and 75 from Ben Stoke. However, after a slump in the final eight overs, England could only muster 302.
A steady start from Pakistan gave England the hope of taking the win. However, at 77-3 Sarfaz Ahmed and Shoaib Malik shared a 163 run partnership, which ultimately took the game. Pakistan went home with 10 balls to spare, securing a 4 wicket victory.
Twickenham is host to another excellent london double header
This year’s Double Header saw Saracens take on Worcester and Harlequins take on new boys, Bristol.
Saracens started their title defence with a smashing win over Worcester. With a lead of only three points at half-time, Saracens came out all guns blazing after the break and scored 4 tries in the second-half to win 35–3.
Harlequins had an equally level match in the first half, leaving the pitch one point up. Though Bristol took the lead early on in the second half with a try from Ryan Edwards, it was Harlequins who came out triumphant with two penalties from Nick Evans. The game ended 21–19.
Nico rosberg reduces hamiltons lead to just 2 points
Despite starting in pole position, it was not meant to be for Lewis Hamilton when a poor start left him in sixth place at the first corner. Though he fought hard to win back his position, he simply could not chase down Roseberg and, after closing the gap from 15 seconds to 9.1 seconds, Hamilton took second place.
