14 – man England dust off the Pumas to win at twickenham

When Elliot Daly was sent off in the first five minutes for a dangerous tackle England had a real challenge ahead against a strong Argentinian side. A penalty try and three successfully kicked penalties took England to a 16-0 lead. The Argentinians fought back, scoring two tries and cutting England’s lead to just two points. Jonny May then went over the line to take England home to a clear 27-14 win.

This is a consecutive winning streak of 12 under Eddie Jones’ management. Twickenham Stadium sees England v Australia on Saturday 3 December where England will look to secure their fourth and final win of the Old Mutual Wealth Series.

nico rosberg wins his maiden world championship

In a nail-biting finale to the 2016 F1 season in Abu Dhabi Nico Rosberg came out on top as the World Champion beating Lewis Hamilton by 5 points. Going into the final race Nico knew he had to finish third or above to ensure that the world title was his and he did exactly that. Lewis Hamilton started on pole position and lead from start to finish. Rosberg held off attacks from both Red Bull drivers, as well as Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel to finish second.

Chelsea return to the top of the premier league

The blues came from behind to defeat Tottenham 2-1 at Stamford bridge. Christian Eriksen put Spurs ahead after just 11 minutes with a fantastic strike. Tottenham’s lead only lasted 30 minuets as just before the halftime break Pedro slotted in a superb goal to take the sides even. Chelsea then secured the home win, when Victor Moses scored the winner just six minutes after the restart. The win takes Chelsea back to the top of the table and their seventh league win in succession.

Colin tizzard has a great day out at the hennessy gold cup at newbury

Trainer, Colin Tizzard had an excellent day at the races as his horse Native River finished half-a-length in front of Carole’s Destrier to win at the 60th running of the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury. Earlier in the day Tizzard’s Cheltenham Gold Cup favourite Thistlecrack eased to victory in the bet365 Novices’ Chase showing why he really is the bookies pick to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup on the 17 March 2017.
